Constructed from a smooth satin base fabric with hand-applied floral and leaf embellishment across the lower two-thirds of the front panel, worked in micro seed beads, bugle beads, and faceted crystal stones in a tonal colourway that matches the satin ground on the navy variant and contrasts in champagne gold on the ivory variant. The wide domed half-moon silhouette curves from a broad flat base to a rounded top edge, with the gold metal frame running along the full width of the top and holding the two shell halves together via a hinge at the base and a press clasp at the centre top. The upper portion of the front panel above the embellishment remains in plain satin, providing a clean contrast between the beaded motifs and the smooth fabric ground.
