The vamp is constructed from two narrow patent leather straps that cross diagonally over the forefoot, each finished with a visible tonal topstitch line running along the full strap length on both edges. The high-gloss patent surface reflects light sharply along the strap face, producing a clean, lacquered finish that contrasts with the matte leather footbed beneath. No embellishment is present. The strap construction and patent finish carry the full surface character of the vamp.

Cross Strap, Ankle Buckle.

A single ankle strap extends from the lateral quarter panel and crosses diagonally to fasten at the medial side with a small rectangular pin buckle, completing the slingback configuration without a full heel counter. The buckle hardware is finished in a brushed silver tone on the off-white variant and a warm gold tone on the dark brown variant, providing the sole point of metal contrast against the patent upper. The diagonal ankle strap alignment mirrors the crossing geometry of the vamp straps, maintaining a consistent linear direction across the full sandal construction.
